Beacham & Company, along with family and friends, woke up bright and early on Saturday, October 5th to participate in Emory’s Annual Win the Fight 5k. The team consisted of 29 members and together, they raised $4,235 and counting. The cause is accepting donations through the end of the year so it’s not too late. Here’s the team warming up for the race.
The firm had its own booth at the event and passed out Beacham Series Magazines and Beacham blue coffee mugs with their logo on them.
On stage, speakers and entertainers got the crowd fired up for the race.
At 8:30 sharp, the whistle blew, and over 2,800 runners and walkers took off!
Seeing all of the people who have been affected by cancer and more specifically, the Winship Cancer Institute, was a powerful scene. More importantly, the number of runners wearing survivor shirts emphasized the message and further proved that the organization was something extraordinary.
While the event was less about when you crossed the finish line and more about beating something bigger, Team Beacham & Company did have one winner on their team. Eliza Harman (12), daughter of Beacham agent Margaret Harman took first place for females in her age group (1-12) with a time of 25:13:18!
In total, the event has raised over $460,000 to date!
