Yebo Beach Haus Re-Opens at New Location

Buckhead’s favorite South African restaurant, Yebo Beach Haus, recently unveiled their newly inspired space inside E Andrews Square. Moving just a half-mile up the road, this is the restaurant’s third location after leaving W Paces last year and Phipps in 2016. We asked Yebo owner, Justin Anthony, what the reason behind the recent move was and he said, “Our previous location was slated to be developed, and an amazing spot popped up in Andrews Square, so we jumped on it! We are thrilled with the new location and atmosphere.”

Yebo’s new location boasts a large fountain, open roof courtyard, and an indoor-outdoor bar with stunning retractable windows. Justin stated, “We have always wanted both a patio and outdoor bar, and this new location provided us with exactly that — it’s one of our favorite elements of the new Yebo.” The interior, designed by Justin’s wife and owner of Wolf Design Group, perfectly captures the spirit of South Africa; with a perfect mix of textures and intricate hand-woven elements throughout. Leather bench seating lines the restaurant wall, with pillows, drum pendants and a hand-painted mural from local Atlanta artist, Jill Ott, offering a cozy and intimate dining experience. The menu has stayed the same with the exception of a few new sushi rolls, lamb chops and a bone-in-chipotle ribeye. Once winter arrives the Beach Haus will transition into Ski Haus lodge, and the courtyard will be adorned in comfy blankets and fire-pits.

Justin Anthony, owner of True Story Brands, a hospitality group encompassing restaurants like Yebo, Biltong Bar and 10 Degrees South, was born and raised in South Africa. Moving to the United States at just 23, he opened the first South African restaurant in the United States, 10 Degrees. True Story Brand’s mission is simple: take people on a culinary safari and show them the best of South Africa’s food and culture. It’s no secret the restaurant industry has endured some of the hardest hits from the on-going pandemic— but food continues to shed positivity through it all as Justin tells us, “Since we’ve opened our doors back up, we’ve been reminded of how important community is, and how special it is to be able to bring people back together (safely, of course) in our spaces.” With that being said, the group is excited to announce Biltong Bar Avalon is slated to open on October 29th!
