Go Beyond the Bookshelf
A house isn’t a home without books. You might be surprised with how creative you can get! You can add them to almost any surface from coffee tables and bookcases to chairs and bar carts. Books are a large part of creating texture and adding warmth to a home.
Complete a coffee table with a stack of eye-catching books. Make the collection interesting enough for your guests to want to flip through and engage with your personal interests; it’s a great conversation starter! A spare chair or unused bench can immediately become ‘purposeful’ when piled with a stack of pretty books. Color coding books on a bookshelf is a fabulous way to add a pop of color to any space! One non-traditional spin on a bookshelf is turning them backwards and showing the pages instead of the spine. This creates a cohesive neutral color palette on your shelf.
