Ginger Scott is a North Carolina native and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She moved to Atlanta not long after graduating from UNC and joined CNN where she was Assistant to the President, Chairman, and CEO of the CNN News Group. She left CNN after almost 10 years to raise her twin boys who now attend Whitfield Academy.
She began her career in Atlanta real estate as a successful real estate investor and professional home stager. The homes she staged sold quickly despite the difficult real estate market at the time. Ginger realized that her ability to create lived-in spaces could be a valuable asset when representing other sellers.
“The homes I have listed and staged have continued to fly off the market. It still amazes me the difference staging makes.”
She joined Beacham & Company in 2010, bringing with her an enthusiastic attitude and a unique ability to make homes more marketable. Since then, she has been offering her staging services to all of her clients free of charge and making her listings more appealing to buyers one home at a time. She is even willing to fully or partially furnish a house if needed.
“From the agents to the services we provide, Beacham is unmatched in every category.”
Ginger and her husband, Hugh Scott, an executive with Scott & Associates, Inc. commercial real estate brokerage and investment firm, live in the Kingswood neighborhood of Buckhead. Ginger is a board member of the Kingswood Neighborhood Association and has previously served as the neighborhood’s social director.
“My #1 goal has always been to give my clients unparalleled service. If you do this, the rest falls into place.”
When did you get into real estate and why?
"I joined Beacham & Company exactly two years ago. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am living my dream by doing what I love each and every day. The last two years have been filled with excitement and success. Before joining Beacham I was involved in residential real estate in a different capacity. I bought and flipped houses. I also started my own staging company. These two successful ventures lead me to get my license and start selling real estate full-time. I realized how quickly the homes I staged sold (even in a depressed market) and thought if I combined my staging business with being a full-time real estate agent, I could give sellers something no one else could. And it worked. The homes I have listed and staged have continued to fly off the market. It still amazes me the difference staging makes."
What was your most memorable sale?
"It was my first listing at the corner of Arden and Arden Moor (1 Arden Moor) in Buckhead. It was priced at $1,050,000. I was so excited to start my residential real estate career with such an amazing property. I happened to be at a dinner party in my neighborhood, Kingswood, right after I joined Beacham. I ended up talking to a couple who asked me what I did and it turns out they had moved to Kingswood before selling their previous home at 1 Arden Moor. The property was vacant and had been on and off the market for a couple of years with different agents but had not sold. I knew this was my kind of listing and of course, told them I could stage the entire 6,000 sq. ft for them. They agreed to give it a try. So, I staged the house, put it back on the market, and had an offer in the first week. We even priced it higher than the previous list price after they saw how great it looked after it was staged. It closed in 30 days. I realized then and there I was in the right place doing what I was meant to do."
What are your goals for the fall market?
"My number one goal has always been to give my clients unparalleled service. If you do this, the rest falls into place. I have yet to have an unsatisfied client and I want to keep it that way. The way to do that is to work harder, longer, and smarter than everyone else."
What sets Beacham & Company apart from other firms?

The Beacham Series magazine is the best of its kind. The people at Beacham are the most professional, hardworking, and talented group in the business."
