A native of Atlanta, JoEllyn Bass began her real estate career at Beacham and Company in 2013. She and her husband, Scott, lived briefly in Charlotte, North Carolina and Charlottesville, Virginia before moving back to Atlanta in 1997. Once back in Atlanta, JoEllyn began teaching English at Wesleyan. After her time at Wesleyan, JoEllyn stayed home to raise her son, Tyler, and daughter, Anna. She spent much of this time volunteering in her wonderful neighborhood, Brookwood Hills, where she has lived for over 25 years. Prior to her career in real estate, JoEllyn volunteered in the community and at Trinity School and Westminster Schools where both Tyler and Anna were students.
When JoEllyn’s children were young, she was extremely involved at Trinity School, chairing Spotlight on Art and acting as President of the TSPA in addition to many other volunteer jobs leading to these positions. Once both children went to Westminster, she loved volunteering as team mom for many of their sports activities. She and Scott also chaired the Annual Fund for Westminster, both enjoying being involved with their children and the communities they loved so much.
JoEllyn and Scott have loved raising their two children in Brookwood Hills, having moved into this wonderful community when Tyler was just 10 weeks old. Over the years, she and Scott have been very active in the neighborhood. Scott served as President of the Brookwood Hills Board and JoEllyn served as President of the neighborhood CHOA organization and was one of the editors of the Brooknotes, the neighborhood newsletter. JoEllyn is also an active member of the Brookwood Hills Garden Club, co-chairing the garden club’s major fundraiser in 2018. Loving to run and now walk in her neighborhood, JoEllyn also organized a neighborhood Fun Run to raise money for Solidarity Springs, a food bank in Sandy Springs, feeding underserved children during the Pandemic. JoEllyn and Scott active members of Cherokee and Northside Methodist Church.
JoEllyn and Jan Koker have joined as a team to help clients buy and sell homes in the Atlanta area, specializing in Brookwood Hills. As a team, they take great pride in helping clients find and sell their homes. With over 40 years combined real estate experience, they enjoy sharing their expertise with clients who often become dear friends.
