Things to Do
Because of its central location, Kingswood residents have numerous choices when it comes to dining and entertainment. Shopping at the designer boutiques of Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza is always a great way to spend a day, and it’s all just a few miles west of the neighborhood. The 268-acre Chastain Park is also just a quick drive away. Visitors can see concerts, hike, play golf, play tennis, ride horses, have a picnic, or play a variety of sports there. Residents also love the many restaurants in the Kingswood area, like the OK Cafe, Blue Ridge Grill, and Local Three Kitchen and Bar. Be prepared to pay seven figures to live in this exclusive neighborhood. Homes in Kingswood generally cost between $1 million and $5 million. Many of them were built during the middle of the 20th century, though the area has seen some new construction over the last decade. Most of the dense, tree-lined streets in Kingswood end in cul-de-sacs which means very little traffic in the community.
Like the other neighborhoods in the area, Kingswood is districted so that its youngest residents attend some of Atlanta’s most sought-after public schools. Sutton Middle School, North Atlanta High School, and Warren T. Jackson Elementary School are all International Baccalaureate World Schools. The exclusive Pace Academyis located just across the street from Kingswood. Journey a little further west, and you’ll find the world-famous Westminster Schools.
