Wrapping flowers and fillers around a stick and hanging above the table is a great idea, and you can easily find a branch in your own backyard.
Instead of doing the basic flower in vase, go for something more creative that your guests are sure to remember -like in a basket, a non-traditional container or simply just a pretty flower arrangement by itself.

Platters and light bites are your best friend. Using wooden boards and large plates you already have, fill them up with your favorite prosciutto and salami cuts, array of cheeses, nuts, fig jam and honeycomb. For a smaller space, a long skinny table, or picnic table would fit best, giving ample seating room and also a lot of space to display food. Setting up a long coffee table, or even two, and incorporating moroccan seat pillows on the grass would create a fantastic ambiance. Add some string lights to either the trees or terrace roof to make it cozy as the sun goes down.
