Best Bars and Places to Watch the Super Bowl in Atlanta

Down here in the South, football is kind of a big deal.

Locally, we have the Falcons, the Yellow Jackets and the Bulldogs to root for. And on top of that, there are all of the other team loyalties Atlanta residents hold.

Therefore it makes sense that the Super Bowl is a big deal. Whether or not you are rooting for the Seahawks or the Patriots, the Super Bowl is the last opportunity to enjoy a game until next fall.

At Beacham & Company, we have quite a few Realtors who are serious football fans and who strive to provide the best possible experience in every way, whether it’s buying a house or watching America’s favorite game.

We put our heads together and compiled a list of our favorite places to watch the Super Bowl in Atlanta. If you have a favorite spot that we missed, please share in the comments below.

1. Hudson Grille

With locations including Midtown, Brookhaven and Sandy Springs, Hudson Grille could be a great option for game watchers seeking convenience and a lively atmosphere. Hudson Grille has an expansive menu, the restaurant serves southern favorites like fried chicken and shrimp and grits, as well as small plates and bar food.

2. Dantanas

Dantanas is more than just a sports bar. With its lush booths, hardwood floors, romantic lighting and wonderful menu, this is a place you would go even if there was not a game on. The recently renovated Buckhead location is a sophisticated spot. While watching the game and all the best commercials, you could snack on beef carpaccio and enjoy one of the 50+ beers on the menu.

3. Fado

Fado is a classic Irish pub that usually serves up soccer games, but it will be a blast on Super Bowl Sunday as well. You can cheer for American football while indulging in classic Irish dishes and an overflowing Guinness.

4. STATS

STATS is consistently ranked among the best sports bars in the country. If you live in downtown Atlanta, this is the spot for you. With 70+ TVs and beer taps directly on your table, you will be hard pressed to find a better place to enjoy the game this year.

5. Milltown Tavern

Located in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Cabbagetown, Milltown Tavern is not necessarily a “sports bar,” but is exactly where you want to find yourself to watch the big game. It serves up specialty burgers that are sure to enhance your game-watching experience. Plus, it’s just down the street from Krog Street Market if you feel like making a day of it.

6. The Ivy

The Ivy is a Buckhead favorite. This sophisticated, yet casual atmosphere is the perfect place to take in the Super Bowl. In addition to the ambiance, The Ivy offers specialty pizzas along with to-die-for cocktails. The bar also boasts Buckhead’s largest outdoor, 300 inch TV.

There are many options around the city. One of the best places to watch the game that didn’t make our list, is from the comfort of your own couch with family and friends. If the weather stays nice, you can even set out game-time appetizers and start the party in the backyard.

At Beacham & Company, we have some beautiful Atlanta listings that include large and open living spaces ideal for viewing parties. Contact us if you are interested in viewing any of our properties. Next year you could be hosting a Super Bowl party in your brand-new home.
