Winship Cancer Institute of Emory is an organization dedicated to cancer research. In July, the organization was ranked one of the best programs in the nation by US News & World Report for the fifth year in a row. The honor was well deserved, as Winship has played a crucial role in saving many lives affected by the disease. The organization is Georgia’s only National Cancer Institute Designated Cancer Center and because of this, Winship serves as the coordinating center for a vast array of resources in medical, surgical, radiation oncology, diagnostic imagining and the subspecialties of cancer care throughout the southeast.
Beacham & Company feels very strongly about this cause and to show their support, the firm is taking part in the Winship Win the Fight 5k, an annual walk/run dedicated to raising money for cancer research. On Saturday, October 5th, the company will join hundreds of others to support this amazing program. Beacham invites you to donate and/or join their team. If you can’t participate in the event, but would still like to contribute to the cause, the event welcomes what they call “Sleep-in” Warriors, allowing those who can’t physically be at the race to register and raise money for a team.

In last week’s sales meeting owner and founder, Glennis Beacham, reminded the firm that “there is not a single person whose life has not been affected by cancer in some way. Either you have had cancer, someone close to you has or you know someone whose life has been forever changed because of it.” No one will ever dispute that statement.
