The Beacham & Company website recently became the first in Atlanta and possibly the country to offer a keyword search of MLS listings.
When agents list properties for sale in the MLS system, they include comments about the property in a field called “Public Remarks.” Often, the remarks provide key information that sets the home apart from others. While agents have had the ability within MLS to search keywords in the public remarks for years, no website allowed the consumer to do it – until now.
For instance, if a consumer wants to search only for homes that have “short sale” in the remarks, they can now do so using the keyword search on beacham.com. Consumers could also use the keyword search to find homes designed by a particular architect or properties that mention private schools in the public remarks.
To search the public remarks on the Beacham & Company website, go to “Search Properties” in the drop down menu and select any type of search, i.e. “Area/Features” or “Schools”. Look in the bottom right corner of the search box. Type in any word(s) you want to search by and hit “Search”.
