Kirkwood School Lofts, for example, was an elementary school converted into condominiums back in 2004.


Schools in the Kirkwood area are primarily public. Those in the district will attend elementary school at either Burgess- Peterson Elementary or Toomer Elementary School. Middle school and high school include King Middle School and Maynard H. Jackson High School.
