Chess is a life-long native of Georgia. He attended Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson School of Business where he earned a B.B.A with a major in real estate. After graduating, he became an agent and started his career in real estate just after the Great Recession. This was obviously the worst time to start in real estate, but Chess knew he could make it doing what he loves. He quickly found out starting in a shattered market has many advantages and taught him patience, to never give up on a listing or client, excellent negotiating skills, and how to hold even the most difficult deals together. This helped him to stick out to clients as an agent with grit! In less than four years, Chess became the second highest producing agent at his previous office, and involved in around 100 real estate transactions. He attributes this success to hard work, an acute understanding of market conditions, an “above and beyond” approach with buyers and sellers, and a lot of prayer.
