New Year…New Food!
Here’s a look at some new ATL eateries to try
Pancake Social // All day breakfast
Adding to the already impressive lineup of restaurants in Ponce City Market, Pancake Social is expected to open late January/early February 2019. The menu will feature eight varieties of pancakes made from multi-grain to sourdough with real maple syrup. You’ll even find gluten-free options!
Le Colonial // French-Vietnamese
Opening Spring 2019 in the Shops of Buckhead development. The owners of Le Bilboquet and Umi are collaborating to bring this concept to the already posh neighborhood. This restaurant currently has locations in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Houston. The menu will feature a light and subtle fare
Doughnut Dollies // Delicious Doughnut Fare
Since first opening in 2015, Atlanta’s West Midtown will now house one of Marietta’s favorite donut joints. The cafe will include seating for a dozen people and even feature a walk-up window to pick up pre-orders. Atlanta-based artist Adam McNeil has been commissioned to create a mural on the building’s exterior.
Motorboat // Divey- Sandwich Bar
Formerly known as Marco’s Pita, located in between The Bookhouse Pub and The Local on Ponce de Leon Avenue will soon house a sandwich bar called Motorboat. This casual shop will specialize in New York, Italian, Jewish and Middle Eastern deli sandwiches. The sign out front currently says ‘Coming Soon’!
AIX and Tin Tin // French Provençal
This restaurant and wine bar are joined by a shared kitchen at the Stockyards on Brady Avenue in Atlanta’s Westside. Tin Tin offers a more casual experience with wine-by-the-glass and charcuterie boards while AIX is a full-service restaurant offering southern French dishes.
Watchman’s Seafood & Spirits // Seafood
The coastal vibe of this restaurant is extremely inviting, offering some of the city’s best oysters and a lovely collection of small plates. The chef speaks on the large use of Italian and French techniques that keep the menu ‘fun’. Situated right on the belt-line perfect location to attract all the crowds.

Tiny Lou’s // French Cuisine
Located on the bottom floor of the newly-renovated Hotel Clermont on Ponce sits this nouveau restaurant offering a menu of French classics including steak frites, escargot and trout almondine. The name of this restaurant was inspired by a popular dancer from the 1950’s.
Nina and Rafi // Italian-American
From the owners of Cypress Street Pint & Plate and O4W Pizza comes Nina and Rafi. Located on the Eastside of the beltline sits a pizza place offering rectangular pies and thick crust loaded with toppings. Both owners are from the North (NY and New Jersey) who were inspired by their Italian grandmothers.
Eat Me Speak Me // Jewish-Chinese
This restaurant is a perennial pop-up that moves around and frequently features new menus. The current menu was so popular that the chef, Jarrett Stieber, is extending it throughout January. Currently in Decatur, his Jewish-Chinese cuisine offers hot and sour matzo ball soup, sweet potato latkes and sunny egg fried rice and bagel puree.
