New Senior Homestead Exemption

All property owners over the age of 65 are now eligible for a senior homestead exemption that will increase their base exemption from $30,000 to $50,000. This exemption only applies to the Fulton County portion of the property taxes. Homeowners over the age of 65 qualify regardless of income which is different from other senior homestead exemptions which usually have income limits.

This exemption will be automatic to properties who already have senior property exemptions for age 65 and older. Those who do not already have others should visit one of the five offices of Fulton County Board Assessors with proof of age (license, passport etc.) or apply online here.
