Waldorf Astoria Opens in Buckhead, Atlanta

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts iconic hotel brand has just opened up the Waldorf Astoria in Buckhead, Atlanta’s first ever.  Located at 3376 Peachtree Road, formerly known as the Mandarin Oriental Atlanta, this building features 42 stories overlooking the Atlanta skyline designed by American architect Robert A.M. Stern. This brand, owned by Hilton, snatched up the Mandarin Oriental for a cool $53.3 million dollars, approximately $421,000 per key.  Hilton has been steadily expanding The Waldorf portfolio, growing with nearly 30 properties most recently in Las Vegas, Bangkok and Beverly Hills. Hilton Management Services is one the the largest in world and in 2017 a record 18 properties transitioned to Hilton, the most in company history.

Situated in the highly sought after neighborhood in Buckhead and walkable to Lenox Mall, Phipps Plaza and restaurants, this is prime real estate and the hotel is expecting to benefit from it. The property already includes 47 private residences, a 15,000 square-foot spa, 60 foot climate controlled indoor pool, yoga studio, corporate meeting and eventspaces and 5 star dining. The rooms here are considered to be the most spacious rooms in the city, the smallest starting at 482 square feet and the Presidential suite boasting 2,340 square feet with dual balconies. The wellness is unparalleled and is a place guests can lose themselves entirely and escape to a personal sanctuary. The hotel will be reimagined and align with the Waldorf Astoria brand in the months to come. The new management is pushing for a truly unforgettable experience for all guests that stay here.
