Beacham & Company, mother-daughter team, Ruth Skogstad and Kristen Sodemann, believe that it’s important to support local charities. The duo has been a major sponsor of the “Brookhaven Tour of Homes” since day one, an annual neighborhood event that supports the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Atlanta. Since 1979, the organization has been dedicated to hosting families of ill and injured children being treated by local hospitals. To date, the charities have housed more than 40,000 families. Not only have they offered a safe haven for these families, they have also kept them together, which is one of their main goals. Without the selfless commitment of Atlanta volunteers and donors like the Skogstad-Sodemann Team, the House’s success would be impossible.
For five years now, the Historic Brookhaven community has opened their kitchens and dining room tables to some of Atlanta’s most raved-about chefs and foodies for a series of dinner parties and home tours for “Brookhaven Dines In” and the “Brookhaven Tour of Homes.” Not only does the event allow attendees to try some of the best food in the city, it also gives house lovers an opportunity to tour some of this historic neighborhood’s most impressive homes. Specifically, the Skogstad-Sodemann Team is sponsoring the Historic Brookhaven Candlelight Tour of Homes that begins at 5:30 on October 24th. The tour will give neighbors and guests an exclusive look at some of the community’s most unique works of architectural art.
