Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2012 will be celebrating its 20th anniversary on Monday, August 27th, 2012. Style guru, Jeffrey Kalinsky, famous for opening two well-known boutiques in Atlanta and Manhattan, is teaming up with Event Chairs Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy and Louise Sams to throw the official kick-off to the fall social season. The event includes a reception followed by a live auction and runway show featuring Kalinsky’s style selections from high-end designers such as Lanvin, Celine, Prada, Marni, Manolo Blahnik, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin, Jason Wu and Bottega Veneta.
Fashion Cares 2012 will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure—Greater Atlanta Affiliate and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF). Last year’s sold-out event raised $650,000 for the two organizations. Since the first Fashion Cares event 20 years ago, it has become one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country. Also, the event appears, financially, to be among the largest 3rd party events in all of Atlanta’s philanthropic endeavors.
