ATLANTA – Beacham & Company, REALTORS released its quarterly report on the Atlanta real estate market today in which the firm reports that sales in Buckhead are up 41 percent from a year ago, while overall metro Atlanta home sales are up seven percent.
The report indicates that the local housing market remains challenging because of changes to appraisal guidelines, the scarcity of sales comps, and the negative equity situations in which many homeowners find themselves. Metro Atlanta home prices are still off 26 percent from 2007 highs.
