ATLANTA – Anne Powers has joined Beacham & Company, Realtors® as a sales associate.
Powers is a newly licensed agent who has spent the past 17 years as an antiques dealer and a volunteer for some of Atlanta’s most well-known charitable organizations. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, she also has a marketing and public relations background, having worked in corporate positions for two banks in the Carolinas.
Dac Carver, managing broker of Beacham & Company, said Powers’ experience as a marketing and public relations professional, coupled with her career as an entrepenuer, are a winning combination for success in real estate.

In 1993, Powers founded Simple Statements, a small home and garden antiques business on Bennett Street that she ran for 17 years. The business allowed her to pursue her passion for antiques and develop experience in the display of decorative arts, an important element in sales success. She hopes to use the same experience to help interested clients prepare their homes for resale.
While also operating her antiques business, Powers served as chairperson for the Women’s Auxiliary of Piedmont Hospital and the Bal de Salut, benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
She is trained as a Phillip Shutze docent for the Atlanta History Center and is a member of the Atlanta Preservation Center and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
Powers and her husband, Bob, a surgeon at Piedmont Hospital, have lived in the Buckhead area for 25 years along with their twins, Drew and Robert, who are both in graduate school.
