Barry Milam
Since building and selling his first home when he was 18, Barry has loved residential real estate. A second generation builder and broker, Barry’s passion is working with people to help them get their dream home.
Barry is a native Atlantan and attended The University of Georgia with a major in Real Estate. He is very familiar with all parts of the city. His more than 35 years of experience in the Atlanta Real estate market makes him an excellent resource for a client looking to purchase or sell in the luxury market. His ability to “know” a home with his construction background gives him a hidden benefit over many agents with his ability to point out quality details about a home.
Before joining Beacham & Company, Barry’s real estate company sold over $225 million worth of residential real estate in Atlanta. Though his building companies, Barry has built more than $75 million worth of residential and commercial real estate, including past Governor George Busbee’s personal home.
He joined Beacham & Company in 2008. Since his affiliation, Barry has become an expert in short sales and foreclosures and is the only agent at Beacham & Company to have achieved the National Association of Realtor's designation as a Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource specialist (SFR).
In recent years, Barry has worked extensively with troubled assets and bank-owned properties. Some of his clients have included the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), banks, and buyers and sellers of short sales and foreclosures. Using his experience and training, Barry expertly guides clients through the delicate process of buying and selling a short sale or foreclosed property.
Barry and his wife Erin reside in Buckhead. He has five children: Ryan, Kristen, Evan, Sloane and Charlie.
